im in germany

For an hout I am here, boarding soon. Can't really see or do anything here at this point besides say:
Nein nein nein NEIN NEIN!

one night in bangkok

bangkok definitely had both of us last night. we were on a mission to find the hot spots and the famous things to do /see and we accomoplished most of it.

too many details to be discussed but we do have some great stories.

and... have you ever gone into the female bathroom by accident, dropped some kids off at the pool, couldnt find the flusher and then didnt realize you were in the wrong bathroom until you bumped into other females waiting in the bathroom to use the stall and they were giving you weird looks? yeah. good times.

waiting for my flight to leave now, stopping over in Germany for a quick bite and then off to Nueva York and I will be entering US soil by Thursday AM.

God bless America.

Bangkok

today, we decided to lounge by the water and chill out. we are going to grab dinner later in the city and check out Nana Plaza and some of the other hot spots/ markets. tomorrow we are wake up early to see the temple if possible and china town maybe.

the hotel is extremely nice very relaxing.

the calm before the storm

i forgot ot mention additional activities at the full moon party included explosives... and when I say explosives, i mean fire crackers and larger fire workers that you would see at a professional 4th of july show, baton twirling on fire too. so picture all of this chaos with 40,000 people and only I'd say about 1% of the people were American. Mostly australians and new zealanders.

So today... the calm before the storm literally and metaphorically. we have about 90 min before our ferry left to go back to ko samui so we decided to both get 1 hour massages. we both go into the bathroom to take showers pre massage. at first i have no desire but then they were so pushy so I was just f it. i went in and I realized there was no shower nozel just a bathtub of water and a bucket. i came back out with my boxers on and they pointed to a bucket and proceeded to show me/us how to "shower". taking the bucket, scooping the water out of the tub and show us how to dump it on our head, and they provided towels after. yea... not up in here. NOT UP IN HERE!

so i just went for the massage, me and wolff side by side thai massage, practically could hold hands if forced...awkward but we agreed to just close our eyes lol. about 30 min in...we hear the rain down pouring outside...like really intense. i look up concerned/curious to get a glimpse of the extreme weather situation but then went back to the massage to relax. Ferry is now in 45 minutes.

The following events take place between 4:30pm -5:15pm on Jan 1st, 2012.

4:30pm- board the ferry
4:33pm- take out my blackberry to attempt to blog but my internet is down
4:44pm- play brick breaker, get to level 2
4:45pm- feell extreme rocking, like a big roller coaster feel, big dips/rocky... due to the terrible weather outside
4:46pm- i shove my phone away and take a drammamine. shit is about to get real
4:51pm- breathing very heavily, pins and needles in my head and both handles, feeling extremely nausciuous, down a 14 oz bottle of water
4:55pm - drenched in sweat, so nausciuous, pins and needles still, never felt like this in my life, debating medical assistant b/c i thought i could possibly pass out but i knew the boat was only 30-40 min at most, but felt like 4 hours. i was clenching onto the seat, just staring out the window and trying my hardest to focus on the horizon. the problem is you couldnt really see b/c it looked liked our ferry was in a car wash/washer machine combined. if i got up out of my seat, i was done for. no sudden movements or i knew i was going to let loose and yak, causing a chain reaction to the other 200 people.
4:57pm - throw up bags are distributed
4:57pm - i use 2 immediately. i lost it.
4:58pm- gushing in sweat, literally dripping sweat, most poeple on the ferry at this point notice me. some people are puking in the bags but i am by far the worst on the boat. i was sitting next to a old asian lady who was compeltely calm/fine, i dont know how she did it. wolff was in the front seating, hold on for his life and concentration hard on the horizon too.
4:59pm - drammamine kicks in but not helping really at all
5:08pm- still fd up but recovering mode... it's over! we doc and its pouring rain out.
5:12pm- still nausciuos as I'm going back to the hotel before my flight. falling in/out of sleep in the car b/c of hte drammamine but waking up every 1 min and feelin nauscious still.

Not sure what happened but it was THE worst ferry ride ive ever had.

BTW - the ko samui airport is so cool. its all outdoors and there are little boutique shops that outline a pathway to the gates. and the bathroom facilities are to die for...its a must see/experience.

boarding the plan to bangkok in 15 min. we are goint to the night off, enjoy the hotel and recover from full moon.

This post was supossed to be submitted yesterday but i didnt have any internet.

Post Full Moon

that was an experience i will never forget. remember the days when it was the last night of sleep away camp and everyone stayed up through the night til sunrise and went crazy and were honeybadgers and didnt care. it was like that...but adults, and drinking and drugs (for some - not us), and no body gave a shit and just danced their ass off.... and pants off for some. we saw so many people face down in the sand.... and just people out of control and dancing with their neon shirts like its 1991.

beach activities included but not limited to:

jump rope - on fire
water slide - into no water
dance - yea dancing
Happy Shakes- Mushrooms
Buckets - mixed drinks

and now to bangkok for a relaxing 5star hotel experience to rest and reflect. (courtesy of starwood hotels and kristin C.)

its happening

About t minus 6 hours until 2012. The beach is getting packed for a much anticipated full moon party. Unleash the mayhem. Radio silence until bangkok.

Godspeed

DMV

There must be no dmv here or at all in thailand. 10 year old kids r riding the moto bikes like its nothin. We witnessed a head on collision between 2 gopeds while eating dinner today. 2 kids, must have been 11 and 14 years old. Looked like they were ok but their bike was totalled, one had to go to hospital. We were talking to one guy today in our tuk tuk and he said he broke his arm on one, just got his casÞ off yesterday. def avoiding those here.

Me and wolff are both 100 percent healthy again. Great timing as the festivities kick in.

Also- we saw a bunch of ozzie tourists get scammed with the jetskis. They were trying to charge them 47000 bhat in damages aka 1700 dollars. Well not up in here. NOT UP IN HERE!
